Review by hotel critic
During a recent city break in London, I had the pleasure of staying at the Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton, and it truly exceeded my expectations. Nestled close to the vibrant Westfield Shopping Centre, it boasts modern rooms with impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, giving you a spectacular view of the city skyline. The attentive staff, who were always eager to help, made my stay even more enjoyable. As a mountaineer who appreciates a good meal, I was delighted by the all-day dining options at the Union Social restaurant, especially the delicious Italian-inspired dishes on the menu. A buffet breakfast offered everything one could hope for, though your vegetarian options may feel a bit limited. Nonetheless, the warm ambiance of the hotel and its artistic decor offered a perfect blend of comfort and creativity — a refreshing retreat from my usual trekking experiences. What I appreciated most was the hotel’s commitment to providing a welcoming atmosphere, much like my favorite teahouses in the Himalayas. The Gantry London is not just a place to rest; it’s set to become a cultural hub with new attractions nearby, including the anticipated offshoot of the V&A Museum. I’d definitely recommend this gem for anyone visiting London — whether you're exploring the bustling city with friends or simply enjoying a peaceful break with a loved one.
